Barbara Billingsley, who had suffered from a rheumatoid disease, died at her home in Santa Monica, said family spokeswoman Judy Twersky.
Barbara died Saturday(10/16/10) after a long illness. She was 94. Billingsley landed numerous roles in movies from the mid-1940s to the mid-1950s, but she struck gold with the television sit-com Leave it to Beaver.
She played a stay at home mom of two curious little boys. Who could ever forget the beautiful and motherly June Cleaver.
Cleaver is survived by her two sons, a stepson and several grandchildren, and host of family and friends.
